SoundGTM, a new Seattle startup led by tech veterans Jenn Steele and Kevin Boehm, announced public availability of its marketplace platform that aims to help B2B companies supercharge their sales strategy.

Founded last year, SoundGTM operates a referral marketplace that connects businesses with go-to-market professionals. The idea is to help match companies with experienced sellers, instead of relying on traditional affiliate or partnership programs.

Companies pay an annual fee to SoundGTM and can post offers on the platform. They get matched to a referral partner (salesperson) and establish milestones. If those are met, the company pays a fee — 80% goes to the partner, and SoundGTM takes the rest as its cut.

“After the small platform fee, we operate on a pay-for-success model, and the companies define that success based on what they need,” Steele said. “They can incentivize everything from a webinar attended to a lead becoming qualified to a closed/won deal.”

Steele said SoundGTM will also recruit salespeople if companies can’t find matches on the platform.

SoundGTM has raised $325,000 so far and has a handful of beta customers, Steele said.

Steele was previously CEO at Kissmetrics, a behavioral marketing and analytics platform that was acquired last year. She held exec roles at Reprise, ORSNN, Madison Logic, Bizible, and Indix. Steele also worked for HubSpot and Amazon.

Boehm was most recently CEO of GlobaliD, a privacy startup, and also worked at ORSNN. He spent more than five years at Amazon in various senior product manager roles.

The company has three full-time employees.

SoundGTM was in the most recent cohort of the WTIA’s Founder Cohort program, as well as the MIT alumni accelerator.
