Seattle Tech Week is back for another slate of panel discussions and networking events covering a wide range of topics and trends.

Seattle Tech Week, which debuted in 2023, is designed to “bring together tech enthusiasts, investors, founders, and innovators at companies big and small from around the globe to mingle in Seattle’s buzzing tech ecosystem,” according to organizers.

Seattle venture firm Madrona Ventures is helping coordinate Seattle Tech Week, along with other companies and sponsors that are financing and hosting events.

Here are some of the themes and sessions across the agenda. Events kick off this Monday, July 29.

AI in the spotlight, again: Between cloud computing giants (Microsoft; Amazon), leading researchers (Allen Institute for AI; University of Washington) and fast-growing startups (many among our GeekWire 200 list) Seattle’s AI ecosystem stacks up with just about any other city — even if it’s not so obvious elsewhere across the country. Several events feature leading AI innovators, entrepreneurs and investors working out of the Seattle region.

Healthcare, from the clinic to the lab: Seattle has a number of leading biotech companies, research institutions, and protein design pioneers developing cutting-edge therapies and medical solutions. The Seattle area ranked third among metro areas for life sciences employment growth, according to a report last year from CBRE. Meanwhile, the University of Washington’s renowned Institute for Protein Design is pumping out a growing number of AI-fueled early stage startups.

Outside and offbeat: For those who want to sweat, soak, or sunbathe …
