GoodShip, a freight network logistics startup led by Convoy vets, raises $8M Taylor Soper

GoodShip raised a $8 million Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners that will boost its software platform that helps companies get a better handle on their shipping logistics data.

  • Customers including KBX Logistics, Kellanova, Mark Anthony Services, and Simmons Foods use GoodShip to manage their finance and analytics needs related to shipping goods across the country.
  • The company is fully remote, with CEO Ryan Soskin based in Nashville and CTO David Tsai in Seattle. Soskin and Tsai previously worked at Seattle trucking startup Convoy before launching GoodShip. Almost half the company’s team is based in Seattle and are also veterans of Convoy.
  • Other backers include Seattle-area firms Fuse and Cercano Management, along with Ironspring Ventures, Chicago Ventures, 53 Stations, and angel investors.
